April




"The Last Shall be the First" - well, the last day is the first blog entry for this month, but I have to do it before April goes. I'll do it in a week fashion

Week 1 - Malaysia
almost 30 hour flight - Air Canada from Toronto to Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong to Singapore, and later an Air Asia flight to Kuala Lumpur and I was home. Started the journey on April Fool's day!

At Singapore's Changi Airport, i found this rare treasure, a 2010 T-Hunt 69' Ford Torino Talladega
Slept for about 4 hours, and later found myself having breakfast with my family : ) A W E S O M E T I M E S :) Drove my sister's 2010 Honda City (Fit - Sedan version). And in the evening was at Sepang for the Grand Prix Qualifying.
My siblings and I. Luke got tickets for all of us! Thanks bro, he's the dude with the Idaho tee. RM250 ticket's at the grand stand. This is where you hear the cars roar at 300km/h before the hairpin and the finish line. This is where lots of the action happens!

The next day, I had breakfast with my Mummy and my brother Markie at the new Bangi Kopitiam in Setiawangsa.

And I had the Nasi Kerabu - a local dish for breakfast from the state of Kelantan. Its rice, keropok (fried fish chips), fish with some kerabu sauce and vegetables.
Midweek, I met up with the Youth from Church and we went to see Clash of the Titans.
I really enjoyed the movie :) As Yoda would say, "Entertaining, it was"

Going home after the movie in the Petaling Jaya area. I forget the name of the mall, haha.

I drove my trusted 1993 Proton Wira that day, and I picked up my working Canadian Visa from the Canadian Embassy that Thursday. The previous day, I made my new Malaysian Passport.
On the way home, it was jammed....you know how cities are....
It was Mark's farewell, so we went downtown to a hotel in Bukit Bintang for a dinner together and it was fantastic. Mark left for Australia the next morning

Friday, the 9th of April, we took my sister's car for a spin, the Honda City.
And we drove downtown, for Nam Heong Chicken Rice

And outside of the restaurant, I couldn't help but notice this 350z
and not too far away, was this Monkee Inn, and I wonder what's it like to be in a Malaysian Hostel, it seems to be cool.
After lunch and a little nap, we visited the Petronas Twin Towers

For dinner, we went to for dinner at KLCC, the Nasi Bojari, Fried Chicken, Sambal, Rice and some Curry Rendang (Beef)
On Saturday morning, i played some futsal and Mummy's cooking was awaiting for lunch , YONG TAU FOO!
More Yong Tau In the evening, my parents took me out for one last dinner in my trip in Malaysia, Restaurant Sudu (which means spoon in Malay) at "Le Meridien"

I missed the cheese in France, so i started off with this, though traditionally, you would have this at the end...
Otak-Otak Lasagna, a fusion between Malaysian and Italian deliciousness. The deal at Sudu, is a all you can eat spread, plus a main dish, and this was mine

Week 2
My meal in Tokyo, Ebi Fillet from McDonalds. Shrimp in a burger patty???? Sooooo good!

On the Sunday, we went to see a play at Ryerson Uni. Agathe's friend, Jenna MacMillan was starring in this play.
We had lunch at this Korean BBQ ayce! Its the best in Toronto.
And i just had to visit this place on Yonge and Dundas!!! Its actually belongs to Indigo
I love it downtown, so much to see

Week 3
Dim Sum with Mike and Jacey, iCook at Markham
Bought my $179 bike as my summer transport
Dinner at Markham again with the Waterloo gang now based in Toronto and a night of Taboo after at Hendry's

Tuesday night, Rainbow Cinema Night. Saw Date Movie...not the best...but for $4, who can complain?

Bought myself a steamer, and watch the steamed goods! ;) yummy dinner

Week 4

Midweek Madness, Joined Jenna and Glenn for a drink at the Imperial Pub and later dinner at the 3 Brasseurs (3 Brewers)
Dinner, Rotisserie Leg Piece and Fries

Rode my bicycle downtown Yonge and Dundas, but didn't have lights, so had to take the Subway home.
